If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We were in a panic when our original photographer canceled on us right before our wedding on 8/1/25. We were scrambling to find someone for our destination wedding in Costa Rica, and finding Megan was the greatest stroke of luck we could have asked for. She didn’t just step in; she stepped up and completely blew us away. From the moment she arrived at the Andaz, she was professional, calming, and ready to capture all the important details. What truly sets her apart is her artistic vision.
We didn’t want generic wedding photos, and she delivered pure art. She used the stunning backdrop of the Andaz beach and the Costa Rican lushness perfectly, playing with light and composition in ways we never imagined. The photos look like they belong in a magazine. Megan shot our Costa Rican elopement and truly did an incredible job. She kept in constant communication with us all the way up to the day of our ceremony, despite being in a different country. On the day of the wedding Megan was extremely easy to work with and moved with the flow of the day, never stopping us to setup a generic posed photo. We’re pretty adventurous and don’t like to sit still, and that didn’t slow Megan down one bit. We were climbing logs in the waves and throwing a football all around the beach and it was all photographed beautifully. She captured our most authentic selves and allowed family and friends to view the photos and feel like they were right there with us. In the end we placed a lot of trust to Megan to do her thing and she absolutely nailed it.

Generally, I don’t like having my picture taken–I get very tense, and I rarely feel like I look like myself.
When it was time to pick a wedding photographer, I needed someone who could help me with that. And I needed someone who could get all the group photos efficiently. And I needed someone who could capture the energy of the day.
Megan did it all. I love our pictures. I loved how quickly she worked. I loved that she was nimble and efficient. She got every angle and captured every detail. She took photos I cherish.”

She was friendly, quick to respond with questions I had leading up to the wedding, and was flexible with specific requests we made. We haven’t received our full gallery quite yet but the few sneak peak photos she sent were beautiful!! I love the candidness of her work and at times it felt like she wasn’t there (which may sound kinda weird) but TOTALLY helped create the candidness we were hoping for. It can be hard to find a photographer when you’re planning a wedding from a thousand miles away, but Megan came highly recommended and was super easy to work with throughout the process. She was communicative on planning for the day, understanding what we wanted to get for photos, and how the day would flow. When it came to day of she made everyone at ease and we were able to blaze through family photos, and then took some time to take some of the most amazing beach photos for us at sunset! Truly some absolutely stunning pictures ? She was a total pro and we’ve had a hard time picking what photos to print because there are just too many gorgeous pics to choose from! She was a joy to work with and we’re so grateful we were able to find her, would highly recommend her to anyone getting married in Costa Rica!”

In summary: THE BEST F***ING PHOTOGRAPHER!!!
My husband and I planned our wedding in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica and we heard about Megan through our wedding planner. We selected from different photographers but what called our attention from her was the genuine style in her pictures, no staging, all natural and candid captures. There were specific moments where she asked us to stop, or hold hands, or walk towards the sunset but all in all, those were probably 2% – 3% of the pictures she took from us.
The results were amazing. Once we got our pictures and showed them to our guests and also friends who couldn’t make it, everybody praised her for those. Very happy and satisfied with her work. Totally and absolutely recommend her, the only thing you will regret is not to have her take your pictures!”

After thoroughly researching the local photographers, my wife chose Megan for our Costa Rica wedding. She came highly recommended by other contacts in the region, and her portfolio was gorgeous. What really stood out was the candids and her black-and-white pictures. We couldn’t have been happier. Megan wasn’t invasive, but was present and helpful for beforehand shots of everyone getting ready. She got absolutely perfect photos during the ceremony itself; there are a couple that capture us better than any we’ve ever taken. My wife, while beautiful, is entirely unphotogenic, she manages to blink or grimace at every camera lens, but Megan managed to get her best sides anyway.”

Cullen and I stayed up late last night looking at every single picture. We were screaming, laughing, crying, and FREAKING OUT over how amazing they all are. WOW. We are seriously at a loss for words.

The one picture when we are looking straight at you in shock while the butterflies were landing on us made us die laughing…those were our faces the entire time we were looking at these pictures. Megan made both of us feel so comfortable from the second we met her. It felt like an old friend was photographing us. She brought us to the most amazing locations and even transported us there!
